Your Side Hustle Idea This Week is Faceless TikTok Affiliate Marketing

If you’re already feeling like this isn’t for you, just keep reading. You never know until you give it a chance. And if it isn’t for you after that, don’t worry, there will be a new idea waiting for you next week!

Don’t be put off by hearing TikTok and thinking it will be too complicated. It is very similar to Facebook, if anything I’d say it is easier to use as it’s main focus is just posting videos.

Above are some examples of faceless TikTok accounts that make money through affiliate marketing and selling products. The way this method works is by reposting content or creating and posting your own content to a TikTok account that gets a large amount of views and directs people to your affiliate link resulting in commission.

Due to the way TikTok promotes videos it means that you don’t need any following to have a potential viral video. All it takes is one viral video and you can make a lot of money!

This method works in a wide range of niches, so you can choose any category that you feel you’d be best at growing. Take a look at the examples above and get familiar with the design and layout of the accounts. Notice the type of content they post and the type of product they promote. It is important to choose a product that matches the content you are posting.

Now it’s time to learn how it’s done!

Your Simple How-To Guide

(always remember to do your own research if this is something you’re thinking of trying)

  1. Choose a Niche For Your TikTok Page

The best way to find a niche for your page is to think of something you enjoy. It will make it a lot easier to keep posting. For example, If you like animals make an animal page. Also, you can find niche ideas by searching for your affiliate product first and then making your niche match.

  2. Find a Product to Promote

Finding a reputable product can take a bit of time but a good starting point is on an affiliate marketing marketplace like “ClickBank”, “JVZoo” or “AmazonAssociates”. You can search through the products and find something that is already performing well and something you feel is a good product.

  3. Open Your TikTok & Get a Username

Open your TikTok account by downloading the app from your app store and signing up with your email. Then choose a username that is clear, simple and matches your chosen niche. Try and get a username with no spaces or fancy characters, just plain letters. For example, “dogkingdom” or “quotecircle”.

  4. Getting a Profile Picture

A profile picture is much simpler than you may think. You can simply use an image from a free image website like “Pixabay” or create a simple logo on a design tool like “Cava”. Don’t overthink this step, keep it simple and clean just like your username.

  5. Write Your Bio

A bio is the small lines of text at the top of your profile. It explains to the audience what your account is and what they can expect if they follow. This too needs to be clean and simple. An example for a dog account could be “🐾Your daily dose of dog🐾”.

  6. Get Your First 6 Videos

The content is the most important bit of your page. If the videos are good everything else will fall into place. To get your videos you could repost content that has already proven to do well.

To do this download an app that can download TikTok videos without the watermark. When posting videos that aren’t yours always be sure to credit the original creator in your video caption.

If you choose to create your own content then you can use a design tool like “Canva” to easily create simple short videos with a nice background and styled text. There are plenty of videos explaining this in more depth on YouTube.

A little tip is to make your videos too short to read all the text in one go. This means people will have to watch it again to read it all and you will get more views.

  7. Start Posting Your Videos

It is best to post as many videos as you can in a day. Remember the more you post, the more chance you have of going viral and making money!

A few tips for growth include; using small relevant hashtags to tell TikTok what your video is about and therefore increasing it’s chance of being shown to people who actually want to see it. Use a clear caption that prompts the viewer to do a certain action. Follow accounts that interact with similar videos to the ones you’re posting.

  8. Add Your Product Link to Bio

On TikTok, you can only put a link in your bio when you reach 1,000 followers. This may seem like a large unobtainable number but it is incredibly achievable. All you need is one successful video and you will have those followers in no time.

However, until this happens a little workaround to this is to set up an Instagram page at the same time with the same content. On Instagram, you can have a link in your bio from day 1. You can then link your Instagram to your TikTok account and direct people from TikTok to your Instagram bio where they can purchase your product.

  9. Optimise and Keep Posting

Post as many times a day as you can. If one particular style of video does well then double down on it and publish other similar videos. The best thing about this method is you don’t need to reinvent the wheel. Many people have done it and you can do it too!

If you don’t think this idea is for you then don’t worry, there will be a new idea waiting for you next week! So I’ll see you then…

I wish you all the success you deserve…
