Your Side Hustle Idea This Week is Reselling 🏷️

If you already feel like this idea isn’t for you just keep reading. You never know what might spark your interest. If it still isn’t for you then don’t worry, there will be a new idea waiting for you next week!

The reselling side hustle is a great starting point to earn money online. The way it works is you buy items to then sell for a higher price on platforms like Ebay, Vinted or Depop.

To get started you can sell items that you already have around your house. This is a good way to get positive reviews and build up your selling accounts. This is an easy thing to do on the side as you set your own hours and choose how much work you want to take on.

There are many examples of successful resellers on YouTube who go to car boot sales and use Gumtree to find cheap items such as games, tech, baby items and books to then list on eBay for a higher price resulting in a profit.

You don’t have to be an expert in any specific topic to do this just simply do your research using the eBay “sold“ section to see what prices items are selling for. For example, if you found a Nintendo DS Lite at a car boot sale for £5 you could buy it and then list it on eBay for £20 which is the average sale price.

The great thing about this is it doesn’t take many sales in a month to generate a nice amount of extra income!

Your Simple How-To Guide:

(Always remember to do your own research if this is something you are thinking of trying)

  1. Open Your Selling Accounts

This is the really easy bit. Just choose what platform you want to sell on and open your account. A good starting point is eBay.

  2. Find Items To Sell

To start off you can sell items you already own. But if you want to find products to buy and then sell you can use free marketplaces like Facebook Marketplace or Gumtree. Alternatively, you can go to car boot sales.

  3. Research Listing Prices

This is an important step to ensure that the products you are buying are actually going to make a profit. Always research sold listings on eBay before making any purchases.

  4. Create Your Listing

Create your listings on eBay. Take your photos in daylight and ensure they are of the best quality. Be transparent in your listing and don’t lie about anything it will only hurt your reviews if you do.

  5. Pack and Ship Your Sold Items

Once the money starts coming in simply take your sold items to the post office to receive your payouts from eBay.

  6. Repeat The Process
