Your Side Hustle Idea This Week Is Short Content Affiliate Marketing 📱

If you already feel like this idea isn’t for you just keep reading. You never know what might spark your interest. If it still isn’t for you then don’t worry, there will be a new idea waiting for you next week!

Short content affiliate marketing is incredibly powerful at the moment with the rise of new algorithms that promote our social media posts to huge numbers of people. Posting on Instagram Reels or TikTok is a great way to reach new audiences with little to no followers.

Thanks to the way new social media features promote videos it means that you don’t need any following to have a potential viral video. All it takes is one viral video and you can make a lot of money!

The way this works is by putting an affiliate link into your social media bio and posting videos that direct people to your link. Below are some examples of faceless TikTok accounts that make a lot of money using this method.

You may be thinking “But I don’t know how to make these short videos“. Well with a design tool like Canva, you can learn to do this relatively easily. However, if you want to get a head start you can buy pre-made short video templates on Etsy. Here is my shop where I sell templates specifically for this but feel free to look at other shops to find the best ones for you ↓

Your Simple How-To Guide:

(Always remember to do your own research if this is something you are thinking of trying)

  1. Choose your niche

The best way to choose a niche is to look at what’s working. It also helps if you enjoy the thing you are posting about. Make sure there is a good affiliate product that fits your chosen niche.

  2. Find an Affiliate Product

Use platforms like “ClickBank”, “JVZoo” or “AmazonAssociates” to find a good product to promote. Take your time with this step. It is important.

  3. Open Your Accounts

Choose what social media you want to focus on. I suggest you start with Instagram reels or TikTok for the best results.

  4. Design Your Profile

When choosing a username make sure it is clean and simple with just plain text such as “doglovers“. Keep your bio short and simple. Make a profile picture on Canva. Don’t overthink any of this. Keep it simple!

  5. Post Your First 6 Videos

Posting your first 6 videos quickly is important to fill up your feed. This shows people you have an active account and makes it look like you haven’t just started. Click the button above to find videos to post or make your own on Canva.

  6. Direct to Your Link

Now you have your profile set up and have chosen an affiliate product to match it is time to put your link in your account bio. Direct your viewers and followers to your link. For example, if you have a dog-themed account you could sell a dog training program as this fits your audience.

  7. Optimise and Keep Posting

Keep posting at least 3x a day for the best results. Post more of what does well and always engage with your audience in the comments and direct messages.
